Farmhouse Meets Sophisticated Style

Posted by on

Imagine having a rustic yet refined, barn-inspired weekend getaway? Well, Jessica and Kevin Carnell made this dream a reality. Their stunning barn-style home, Cloverfield Farm, which is located on 170 acres of land an hour away from Memphis, was featured in Country Living Magazine (@CountryLiving) with photography from Lincoln Barbour (@lincolnbarbour).

Doug Enoch, the Memphis architect behind ACRE restaurant, designed the 3,000-square-foot home, and many all-natural, reclaimed wood pieces from Stash were incorporated throughout the open floor plan.

When planning the interior design of the gambre-style barn home, Jessica said that they had one rule. “We only brought in materials that looked like they could have been picked up around the property. We wanted to stay true to what’s available in this region.”

Kevin designed a gorgeous two-tier, 54-bulb chandelier, which, along with the stone fireplace, serves as the focal point of the living room. Two white slipcovered sofas, similar to the Classic Natural Slipcover Sofa, and two brown leather chairs add refinement to the room.

The dining room features a farmhouse-style table that seats 12 people, all wood dining chairs, two elegant slipcovered chairs, and a distressed cabinet, all from Stash Home. This combination of home décor is the perfect mix of rustic and sophisticated, creating a rich balance of contrasting styles.

Farmhouse style continues in the guest room, which houses an iron bed from Stash Home, much like the now-available Vintage Metal Full or Queen Bed, a natural wood chest, and feminine floral print curtains.

Jessica’s favorite room in the home is the screened-in porch, which has a fireplace, rope swing, and soft, casual seating.

Plus, Jessica has fantastic Instagram feed (@growing_cloverfield_farm), where she discusses this entire project. Stash is simply ecstatic that some of our unique pieces, from farmhouse style dining tables to more classic slipcovered chairs, are being featured and enjoyed in this lovely, equally unique home.
