Stash Cares: Giving Back to Our Community
Posted on November 23 2018
“We don’t want to just sell furniture. If we didn't give back to the communities that support us, we would be spiritually bankrupt.”
—Chad Spencer, CEO of Stash Home
Our communities are extremely important to us. That’s why, when you shop at Stash, in store or online, we donate $1.27 of each item purchased to our charitable organization, Y127. In fact, you may have noticed that all of our prices end in $1.27. The name “Y127” was inspired by James 1:27 in the Bible, which states that "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world."
Y127 has allowed Stash to support a number of organizations, including:
- St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital—Stash is dedicated to helping St. Jude advance cures for childhood cancer and other pediatric illnesses. We've been furnishing St. Jude Dream Homes every year since 2011. We've also been a partner of the Fed Ex St. Jude Classic Golf Tournament since 2010.

- Hogar di Ninos Enmanuel—At this orphanage in Honduras, Stash provided beds for the children, a computer lab, and a nursery so that the orphanage can take in babies.
- Mercy House and Safe Families for Children—Stash Home was honored to donate furniture to Mercy House in Memphis, TN. Mercy House is a home where single mothers stay and are educated to become responsible adults. In the meantime, their children stay with families from Safe Families for Children.
