Wear Red for Women
Posted on February 01 2019
Did you know that heart disease is the number one killer of women, taking more lives than all forms of cancer combined? Friday, February 1st is National Wear Red Day, which is a major part of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women initiative, a movement designed to increase awareness about women’s heart health.
On this day, wear red to show your support for this cause, whether it’s a red shirt, dress, hat, or even socks, and encourage your friends to do the same. Also, visit your local Stash Home store between February 1st and 5th and donate $10 to the American Heart Association, and you’ll receive 10% off your entire purchase.
For 16 years now, the first Friday of every February has been dedicated to raising awareness about heart disease in women and educating mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends about the importance of prevention and screening. As stated on the Go Red for Women website, this day has made tremendous strides. In fact, more than 900,000 women have joined the fight against heart disease, over 90% have visited their doctor in the last 12 months, and more than one third have lost weight.
So, when you have a chance this Friday through Tuesday, come by Stash Home and help us raise money for the American Heart Association as part of our #StashCares campaign.
We thank all of you for your support. Let’s keep working together to make a difference in the world!
